1、 According to the mode of movement
1. Point CNC machine tool
The point control CNC machine tool is mainly used to control the precise position of the tool, such as from one point to another, rather than control the whole movement path. This type of CNC machine tool will not process the workpiece during operation. The common ones are CNC drilling machines, CNC punch machines, etc.
2. Contour CNC machine tool
Contour CNC machine tools naturally control the displacement track and speed of multiple motion coordinates, and this kind of machine tools can realize continuous control of the whole route, in which the specific data of each point can be clearly understood. This kind of CNC machine tools include CNC lathes, machining centers, CNC milling machines, etc.
3. Linear CNC machine tool
Linear CNC machine tools can not only control the position between points like point-to-point CNC machine tools, but also ensure that there is a linear movement path between points. While determining the movement path, they also control the movement speed. NC grinding machines and CNC milling machines commonly used in production are linear CNC machine tools.
2、 By control mode
1. Open-loop CNC machine tool
The open-loop CNC machine tool uses the stepping motor as the actuator, and sends instructions through the CNC system to achieve control. The speed and distance of movement are determined by the input pulse data.
2. Semi-closed loop CNC machine tool
The semi-closed loop is used to detect the displacement of components through specially installed detection elements. Most parts of the whole machine are in the closed loop, so it will be relatively stable.
3. Closed loop CNC machine tool
The whole device of the closed-loop CNC machine tool is in a closed loop, which is more accurate for positioning and feedback.
